Ethiopia finishes off their CECAFA Women Championship maiden outing on a high note as they beat hosts Uganda 4-1 in the third place playoff in Nejeru Technical Center. Lucy lose to Kenya in the semis whilst Uganda took a 4-1 hammering against Tanzania.
Hasifa Nassuna gave the Crested Cranes the lead five minutes after the onsent. Veteran striker Rehima Zerga leveled matters in 16th minute before handing Lucy the lead at stroke of half time . Rehima completed her hattrick in 73rd minutes as the evergreen Loza Abera struck five minutes later to make it 4-1.
Ethiopia, who are in their madien CECAFA Women Championship, settled for third place. Loza managed to finishe her CECAFA Women Championship with five goals.
