Singapore based sports apparel maker Mafro Sports to kit the newly promoted side Wolkite Ketema for the coming two seasons with an undisclosed fee.
Wolkite officially penned a two year deal with Mafro Sports in an official launching ceremony held today at the Blue Sky Hotel here in Addis, the deal would saw Mafro supplying football kits to the senior team and also to the team’s academy set to be inaugurated soon including bags, tracksuits, armbands, water bottles.
Wolkite higher officials and the Club’s newly-appointed head trainer Degarege Yigzaw was accompanied by Mr. Mohamoud Gomd who is the managing director of Mafro Sports attended the official launching ceremony.
The club’s general manager Tamirat was quoted “The deal would saw Mafro sports kitting our senior side and also to the players and coaching staff members of our new football academy set be inaugurated very soon.”
Wolkite vice president, Abebaw Solomon, said that they are currently working hard towards transforming the club and today’s kitting deal is one of the positive steps the club is taking towards creating a modern and properly structured football club.
“We are happy the deal went through, we have been analyzing offers from different companies but we picked Mafro Sports not only on price and quality but also they are set to ship all the kits within 6 weeks, so that’s why we opted for Mafro Sports,” Abebaw said during the launching event
Mafro Sports Managing Director, Mahmoud Gomda, said that he is very pleased on landing his first full package deals in Ethiopia and also stated that they are very keen on partnering teams like Wolkite City who has real ambition and desire to move forward.
After an official deal was penned clubs recent acquisition Thomas Semretu, Ephream Zekarias and Yidnekachew Kidane with the team’s last season star performer Abdulkerim Worku showcased the home and away kit for the upcoming season.
Mafro Sports, a familiar name to African Football in recent years as the company was supplying Football kits for the Seira Leone, Zambia and Kenyan National team also had provided kits for Ghanian top-flight sides Hearts of Oak and Ashante Kotoko and is currently working as the kit supplier for the Ugandan National team.
