AA City Cup: Adama Ketema and Ethiopia Nigd Bank Make Winning Ways

The Addis Ababa City Cup day 2 saw Adama Ketema and Ethiopia Nigd Bank won their respective Group B encounter in Addis Ababa Stadium. Ethiopia Nigd Bank pip Ethiopian Premier League rookies Addis Ababa Ketema while Adama Ketema cruise to a 3-0 win over Dedebit.
Nigerian striker Peter Nuwadke struck early in the first interval to hand Ethiopia Nigd Bank the victory over Addis Ababa Ketema. The solitary goal was enough for the Bankers to start off their City Cup campaign with a win.

Adama Ketema were efficiently ruthless as they thumped a second string Dedebit side 3-0. Dedebit coach Yohannes Sahel opted to field a second string side for his opening encounter. Tilahun Wolde opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a simple tap in after a great work from Dawa Hotessa to set him up. Surafel Daganachew doubled the lead 10 minutes later when he dribbled past two Dedebit defenders. Fasika Assafaw notched the third with a header fro close range in the 31st minute.
The win leaves Adama and Bank to top the Group. The tourney continues on Tuesday with Kidus Giorgis hosting Jimma Aba Bunna and Mekelakeya up against Electric.
