Ethiopian Premier League outfit Dedebit FC have sacked coach Yohannis Sahle after barely 3 games in charge of the Blues. Yohannis took over the helm at the Addis Ababa club in June following his stint at the Ethiopian National Team.
Source close to Soccer Ethiopia revealed the Dedebit board was very unfazed how the coach does things in the club. While Yohannis was in charge Dedebit played three league games winning ones in the process. The Ethiopian born American coach started the league on high note with a 3-0 hammering of Ethiopia Bunna. Nonetheless, Dedebit lose 2-0 to Kidus Giorgis in week 2 before settling to a barren draw against newly promoted side Woldia.
It was Yohannis’s second stint at Dedebit. He previously worked as a coach and technical director. Earlier today the team conducted their daily training under assistant coach Elias Ibrahim ahead of the Hawassa Ketema clash on Saturday. The club’s technical director Asrat Haile will be in charge of Dedebit as Soccer Ethiopia learnt.
The renowned Ethiopian coach Asrat was unemployed before assuming the technical director role at the one time Ethiopian champions. Asrat’s last role as a coach was at Ethiopia Medhin in 2013/14 season.
