Ethiopia Bunna Fine Three Players

Addis Ababa outfit Ethiopia Bunna has reportedly fined three players for dissent as Soccer Ethiopia learnt. The one time Ethiopian champions have fined a one month salary of winger Asechalew Girma, left back Ahmed Reshid and second choice goalie Yohannes Bezabeh. Furthermore Ahmed, who happened to receive a national team call up earlier in the week, is also suspended not to engage in any of the club’s games and training session.

Ethiopia Bunna’s manager Belay Ereku told Soccer Ethiopia that the players were subject to penalties for not showing up to team meeting. As the club notified Ahmed repeatedly missed out meetings; although the player commented to Soccer Ethiopia that he missed out the meetings due to family problem.

This comes just a day after the club parted ways with head coach Gezaghen Ketema. Former club captain and assistant coach Edelu Dereje handed the helm alongside U-20 team coach Yoesf Tesfaye. The club previously sacked Serbian coach Nebojsa Vucievic.
