Premier League : Hadiya Hossana Relegated, Giorgis and Bunna in an away draw

Wolaitta Dicha held table toppers Kidus Giorgis to a barren draw as Ethiopia Bunna twice come from behind to earn a draw against Dashen Bira. Nigerian forward Philip Dauzi grabbed a brace when Ethiopia Nigd Bank beat Hadiya Hossana 2-0. Sidama Bunna, Hawassa Ketema and ArbaMinch Ketema have also registered an important victories. Diredawa Ketema and Mekelakeya played out a 2-2 draw in Diredawa.

Hadiya Hossana waves good bye to the Ethiopian Premier League after losing 2-0 at home to Ethiopia Nigd Bank. Philip Dauzi got a brace in the game as the Hossana side relegated from the topflight league having 5 games in hand.

League leaders Kidus Giorgis and Wolaitta Dicha settled for a goal less draw in Boditi. Dicha goalie Wendesen Asenafi kept clean sheet in his last 8 games.

Relegation battlers Dashen Bira held by second placed Ethiopia Bunna in Gondar. Dashen took the lead twice but failed to win the duel. Togolese Edom Hosorouvi gave the home side the lead in the 26th minute before Sadik Secho found the equalizer 10 minutes later. Winger Yetesha Gizaw struck early in the second half to hand Dashen the lead again. Sadik yet again restored parity in the 65th minute. Crowd trouble have occurred in Fasilleds Stadium after angry Dashen Bira fans throw missiles. Ethiopia Bunna SC PR Mr. Mulugeta Desalegn confirmed to Soccer Ethiopia that many traveling Bunna fans are hospitalized due to the crowd trouble.

ArbaMinch Ketema continued on fighting relegation as they came out victorious against Dedebit 2-1 in ArbaMinch. Tsegaye Abera broke the deadlock in the 17th minute. Nigerian striker Samuel Sanumi restored parity at stroke of half time. Amele Milkias, who spent the first half round at Hawassa Ketema, sealed the win after the recess.

Hawassa Ketema got back on track with a slander win over Electric. Asechalew Girma opened the scoring in the third minute before Nigerian Peter Nuwdake’s equalizer in the 20th minute. Firdaweke Sisay struck twice to give Hawassa a two goals cushion. Former Hawassa defensive midfielder Dereje Hailu pulled one back four minutes from time.

Sidama Bunna pip Adama Ketema 1-0 in Yirgalem. A solitary goal from ex Adama forward Bereket Addisu was enough for Sidama to collect the three points.

Diredawa Ketema and Mekelakeya ended their tie in stalemate. Fuad Ibrahim handed the Easterners the lead before Behailu Girma equalized in the second half. Belay Abayneh yet again gave Dire the lead. Nonetheless, Mohammed Nasser made it 2-2 at the closing stage of the game.

Kidus Giorgis are at the summit of the log table despite the draw with 44 points. Ethiopia Bunna are second with 35 points.
