Ethiopian premier league side Diredawa Ketema are on the brink of appointing Zelalem Shiferaw as their new coach ahead of commencing preseason in August.
The Easterners parted ways with coach Meserte Manni and her assistant Haimanot Girma last week after a run of poor results in the second round of the topflight saw them finishing 3 points above the relegation zone.
Zelalem had been in charge of Sidama Bunna for the 2015/16 season before leaving the Yirgalem based club in a mutual consent. Soccer Ethiopia have learnt that Zelalem will ink a two year deal with Diredawa Ketema.
Zelalem is currently the assistant coach of the Ethiopian national team. Nicknamed Mourinho, Zelalem have coached Sidama Bunna, Adama Ketema, Dedebit, Debub Police and Hawassa Ketema.
