Ethiopia Nigd Bank Release 9 Players as clear-out begins

Premier League outfit Ethiopia Nigd Bank have confirmed the complete list of players that are released ahead of usher-in pre-season for the new season in August. The club is well known for splashing a huge amount of cash during the summer transfer window however that same trend won’t be replicated as the club board affirmed. The club board had been in a meeting this week as the released players announced.

Bank have released Nigerian striker Philip Dauzi, goalkeeper duo Yohannis Shikur and Dawit Assefa, midfielder Abdulkerim Hassan, Sisay Toli, Solomon GebreMedhin, Sentalem Teshager, Naod Mubark and Eyasu Mekuria as their contract with the state owned bank club ended at the start of July.

The board is expected to decide on the fate of the suspended forward Biniam Assefa, who still has a year remaining in his contract.

Meanwhile, among the released players the ex Kidus Giorgis player Abdulkerim has agreed terms with Ethiopia Bunna, sources claim. Philip Dauzi eyes a move away from Ethiopia. According to Philip’s agent David Besha Philip is expected to sign a contact with unnamed club next week. David declined to disclose the club till the move is materialized.

Nigd Bank youth team have been crowned champions of the Addis Ababa Youth League for 2015/16 season likewise the club will promote players from the triumphed youth side.
