The Ethiopian Football Federation has unveiled Italian sportswear company Errea as the official kit supplier for the next 4 years today at the Italian Cultural Center in Addis Ababa. Errea and EFF have signed the sponsorship agreement a month ago.
EFF president Juniedi Basha and Errea Sports vice president Roberto Gandolfi attended the official launching ceremony.
‘Errea Sport is proud to announce that it has reached a technical sponsorship agreement with Ethiopia’s national football team. A four years contract will see Errea kitting out both the Ethiopian men’s and women’s national teams and supplying material for their respective youth sectors,’ a statement from the company reads.
Errea have beaten Australian clothing company AMS Clothing for the deal to supply the Ethiopian national team kit. Errea will supply kits and other items to all the Ethiopian national teams except the U-23 team. Walias, Lucy, the U-20 and U-17 men and women national teams are included in the contract. EFF and Errea have signed a 4 years deal that is open to improvement every year.
President Juniedi stated he is content with deal. “We have been waiting for a sportswear company to supply kits for us. I am glad that we have got a company that can supply us with a quality product,” said Juniedi.
Mr. Gandolfi on his part expressed his delight. “We want to promote our products in Ethiopia. We are very happy and grateful to see this deal to go through.”
Errea have only showcased the home kit of the Walias during the launching ceremony which will be worn when Ethiopia host Seychelles this Saturday in the African Cup of Nations Group J qualifier.
Team jerseys, bags, tracksuits, armbands, water bottles and playing boots are included in the deal. It is reported that Errea Sport will supply 120 home and away kits every year. EFF will get a 90,000€ worth materials from Errea for free.
