​Junior Lucy Off to Nairobi for the Return Leg Kenya Clash

The Ethiopian U-20 Women national team have departed to Nairobi for the second leg FIFA Women U-20 World Cup African Zone qualifier game against Kenya on Saturday September 30 in Machakos. Kenya rallied from behind to hold Ethiopia after going two goals down in the first round in Hawassa.

A Mirkat Feleke and Alemnesh Geremew first interval strikes could not save the Junior Lucy’s from embarking the qualifier with a home win. Ethiopia coach Tewdros Desta’s charges has been in a ten day residential camp in Hawassa. The team have conducted an intensive training in the past week as they eye a Kenya scalp away.

Coach Tewdros has dropped Biruktawit Ayele from the traveling squad as Geneme Worku replaced the defender. Referees from Uganda has been appointed to handle the tie. Winner will take on the winner of Ghana and Algeria in the second round qualifier. Ghana managed to beat Algeria 5-0 in the first leg game.
