Wolkite Ketema appoints new assistant coach
Wolkite Ketema has decided to appoint Temesgen Dana as an assistant to the teams recently appointed head coach Degarege yigzaw for the upcoming season.
Temesgen, who began his coaching careers in the U-17 and U-20 of Hawassa Ketema and then he was in charge of the Ethiopian U-17 national team to lead them to the final but went out to lose 3-1 to the Ugandan counterpart in the final.
This season he was working as an assistant coach in Hawassa Ketema but his spell at The Lakes was short-lived as the two parties failed to settle payment issues on time.
on the other Wolkite news, The club has added Fitsum Teferi to their new players’ list for the new campaign. the experienced midfielder is their fifth recruit of the summer.
Sidama Bunna announce 7 new contract extensions
Last season’s Ethiopian premier league runner ups Sidama Bunna have announced that they have extended the contract of 7 players that were brought up to the main team in preceding years from the club’s youth ranks. Yigezu Bogale, Addisu Tesfaye, Michael Hassisa, Kifle Kea, Biniam Lankamo, Amanuel Endale, Leykun Negash are the 7 players penning a contract extension with the Southern Ethiopian side.
Also in the coming days, the club is expected to extend the contract of its crucial players besides that the club is working in landing 5 new players.
Hawassa sign Henock Ayele
The “Lakers” who have been very quiet in the summer transfer window have captured their first signing as Henok Ayele is agreed to join on a one year deal.
Henok’s addition to the Hawassa squad will boost their attacking option, as he will face a tough challenge for the starting role from Mesfin Taffese and Israel Eshetu.
Henok Ayele who was a star performer in Debub Police, his career was widely blown by a knee injury and was revived last season as he went on to score 12 goals last season for Debub Police.
Meanwhile, the club also extended the contract of its three imports, Togolese goalie Mensah Nsouhoho, Ghaninan center back Lawrence Lartey, Ivorian left-back Yau Oliver also agreed to extend their contract for another year with the “Lakers”.
Welwalo A/U is coming back strongly in the transfer window
Welwalo AU. who were caught napping as they lost 3 of their key players to other top tier sides came back strongly after Yohannes Sahle’s contract extension.
The former Dire Dawa Ketema trainer has attracted three of his former players to his team. the promising youngster’s Fekadu Denke and Samuel Yohannes have agreed to join Welwalo meanwhile Ramkel Lok also heading North.
Fekadu Deneke who is regarded as the best young Center back in the league is widely credited for his calmness and his wining ratio on one vs one duel has previously worked with Yohannes in his Mekelle and Dire Dawa.
Meanwhile, Dawit Worku (Dedebit), Micheal Lemma (Ethiopia Medhin) and Zerihun Birhanu (Ethiopia Medhin) also will be playing for Welwalo Next season.
Mekelle 70 Enderta set to sign Moussa Dao
Reigning Ethiopian premier league champions Mekelle 70 Enderta have given a trial for the Burkina Faso international midfielder Moussa Dao. Moussa who have been playing for Egyptian Premier sides Pyramids FC, El Masry , El Hammam is set to become Mekelle player officially in the coming days.
