The Ethiopian National Team secured a 4-0 win against Madagascar in the 5th round of games in the Afcon 2021 Qualifiers.
The Waliyas went into the match needing all 3 points to make sure that qualification was still possible. And Webetu Abate’s side did that in style with Amanuel Gebremicheal, Getaneh Kebede and Abubeker Nasser netting before half time with Shemeles Bekele scoring in the second half to complete the route.
The home side dominated the game and deserved their high score win. Getaneh’s amazing free-kick goal was the pick of the bunch.
Ethiopia will face Ivory Coast away from home on Tuesday, March 30. A point should be enough to secure progress to AFCON 2021.
