Wolaitta Dicha down Ethiopia Bunna as Mekelakeya edge Adama Ketema 

Wolaitta Dicha got the better of Ethiopia Bunna 2-1 to consolidate fourth place. Tewdros Bekele’s goal proved enough for Mekelakeya to secure a vital win over Adama Ketema. Ethiopia Nigd Bank came from behind to salvage a draw against Electric in Addis Ababa.

Wolaitta Dicha continued on their recent good form at home as they swept aside Ethiopia Bunna. Bezabeh Meleyo gave Dicha the lead 8 minutes after kick off. Bunna equalized 6 minutes later through Abdulkerim Mohammed who slots home from close range.

The game was abandoned for 10 minutes due to Dicha fans disturbance. The boisterous home side fans were seen throwing stones in protest to the decision of referee Yirgalem not to award their team an alleged penalty in the closing stages of the game. Nonetheless, the Boditi side notched a sweet victory through Bunna center back Ephrem Wendesen’s last gasp own goal.

Adama Ketema start losing ground after a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Mekelakeya. Mohammed Nassir missed a spot kick for the Army side but that didn’t withhold Mekelakeya from winning. Defender Tewdros Bekele’s solitary goal was enough to win the duel.

Elsewhere, Ethiopia Nigd Bank and Electric share spoils. The two times Ethiopian Premier League champions Electric struck twice in space of 7 minutes through Nigerian forward Peter Nuwadke and Fitsum GebreMariam to lead 2-0. Ephrem Ashamo reduced the deficit before the interval when he converted a spot kick. Ashamo completed his brace early in the second half to pull Bank level.
