Mechal and Bahir Dar Ketema earn a hard-fought three points in the second day action of game week 7.
In the early kickoff Mechal came from a goal down to beat Adama Ketema 2-1 registering their fourth win in the spin.
Adama who were yet to lose this season opened the scoring in the 48th minute through the youngster Binyam Ayten, but two goals in the space of five minutes seal the deal for Mechal.
Samuel Saliso levelled matters in the 63rd minute while Shimeles Bekele added the wining goal in the 68th minute.
The win meant Mechal reclaimed the summit of the log with 16 points while Adama Ketema who lost for the first time are 6th with 12 points.
In the late kickoff that ended in controversy Bahir Dar Ketema Chernet Gugsa’s brace sinked Hawassa Ketema.
Bahir Dar took the lead early on Cherenet Gugsa striked in the 12th minute to put his side upfront and added another in the 40th minute but Tafese Solomon pulled one back for Hawassa just before the end of the first half.
With the final whitsel fast approaching Mujib Kassim’s headed effort in the dying minutes of the match was awarded as a goal by the referee but the linesman intervened to disallow the goal as it not crossed the goal line causing a lot of controversy and also lead the match to be halted for 17 minutes.
Following todays laboured win Bahir Dar Ketema claimed 3rd spot with 14 points while Hawassa now on a two games losing streak are 8th with 9 points.
